Short history overview
This overview is to give a rough outline of what has happened during the last
year. As all remember the game is set to take place in 1944 between the 5th and 6th of June)in Paris, France.
Most of characters, regardless of profession and status know these events, at least as rumors. Talking about past events was
very popular, though not adviseable while Gestapo was around.

African campaign concluded, Axis forces retreat to Sicily and Italy. |
| 9.7.1943 |
Allied forces land on Sicily. |
| 24.7.1943 | Allies bomb German installions in Norway, Saturation bombing of Hamburg begins. |

| 25.7.1943 | Mussolini overthrown and arrested. |
| 6.8.1943 | Soviets reach the last German defensive line inside Russia. |
| 17.8.1943 | Allies complete conquest of Sicily, Axis forces retreat to Italy. |
| 3.9.1943 | Allies begin invasion of Italy from Sicily across Messina Strait. |
| 8.9.1943 | Italian government makes peace with the Allies. |
| 9.9.1943 | Allied forces land at Salerno, west coast of Italy. |
| 10.9.1943 | German forces occupy Rome, battle of Italy continues. |
| 12.9.1943 | Mussolini freed by German commando raid. |
